Executive Summary
Our partnership with HashKey Cloud connects institutional staking expertise with the wallet security and transaction governance required to manage digital assets at scale. HashKey Cloud uses our MPC wallet platform for part of its own operations, bringing direct experience of Utila into the collaboration.
HashKey Cloud’s staking services will be available through Utila Yield, giving asset managers, exchanges and treasury teams access to staking under the transaction policies they set in Utila. The partnership also strengthens our APAC presence and creates opportunities to serve institutional clients across Asia, the US and Europe.
Bringing Staking Into Treasury Operations
Staking is becoming part of institutional asset management in APAC. Hong Kong-listed Ethereum ETFs incorporate staking rewards, while Japan-listed Quantum Solutions uses Ethereum staking within its digital asset treasury. These examples place staking within investment products and corporate balance sheets that carry established expectations for oversight and accountability.
Managing these allocations brings several responsibilities into focus. Fund managers and treasury teams need to assess validator providers, account for withdrawal conditions in their liquidity planning, and control who can commit assets. The infrastructure supporting staking must help them carry out those responsibilities alongside their wider digital asset operations.
Our partnership with HashKey Cloud combines its experience serving these institutions with our MPC wallet security and transaction controls. HashKey Cloud’s staking services will be available through Utila Yield, giving asset managers and treasury teams access to supported validators with clear control over who can allocate assets and which approvals are required. The partnership strengthens our institutional offering in APAC and brings HashKey Cloud’s staking expertise to clients across our global network.
What Is HashKey Cloud
HashKey Cloud is the institutional staking and yield infrastructure arm of HashKey Group (HKEX: 3887). It has provided node validation services since 2018 and operates across more than 40 blockchain networks.
Its services support exchanges, asset managers, custodians and fund products. HashKey Cloud’s institutional track record includes Ethereum staking for Hong Kong-listed ETFs from Bosera and MicroBit, as well as digital asset treasury staking for Japan-listed Quantum Solutions.
Its institutional staking offering includes slashing insurance coverage and round-the-clock infrastructure monitoring. HashKey Cloud also reports SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. Institutions can review the applicable coverage terms alongside the provider’s operating controls.
HashKey Cloud Adopts Utila
HashKey Cloud uses our MPC wallet platform for part of its digital asset operations. Its adoption makes the relationship relevant on both sides: HashKey Cloud relies on our infrastructure as a customer and contributes its staking expertise as a partner.
Our wallet infrastructure allows teams to define who can initiate transactions, which approvals are required and how transactions are signed. The console and APIs support workflows across treasury, payments and trading, giving institutions a common platform for managing assets and governing transactions.
Institutional Staking Through Utila Yield
Utila Yield is our curated catalog of yield opportunities in the Utila console. Clients use it to access supported strategies, with capital movements governed by their configured transaction policies.
HashKey Cloud’s institutional staking services will be available through Utila Yield. Institutions will be able to access supported validators from their Utila wallets, with staking allocations subject to their configured permissions and approvals.
HashKey Cloud operates the validator infrastructure, while Utila provides MPC wallet security and transaction authorization. The partnership connects those capabilities so institutions can apply their own controls to staking allocations alongside their wider treasury activity.
The collaboration also addresses how institutions connect yield management with payments, custody operations and compliance controls.
Relevant Institutional Use Cases
The partnership addresses the needs of institutions that want to incorporate staking into their treasury and asset management processes:
Asset managers and fund operators seeking a staking provider with fund-sector experience and clear control over who authorizes allocations.
Exchanges and custodians combining validator services with the wallet infrastructure needed to support institutional digital asset offerings.
Fintechs and corporate treasury teams incorporating staking into treasury policies while managing liquidity needs and approval responsibilities.
Validator due diligence, network conditions and withdrawal terms remain part of each institution’s allocation decision. Our wallet controls govern how transactions are authorized and signed.
Institutional Reach Across APAC
HashKey Cloud brings experience supporting Hong Kong-listed ETFs and Japanese corporate treasuries. Its adoption of Utila strengthens our presence in APAC and connects our wallet infrastructure with a provider already serving institutions in the region.
Our teams will work together to bring HashKey Cloud’s staking expertise to institutions using Utila in the US and Europe, while introducing our digital asset infrastructure to HashKey Cloud’s network in Asia. This creates more opportunities for institutions to access complementary providers as their operations expand across markets.
