Enterprise-Grade Disaster Recovery
Utila customers can now securely create and manage disaster recovery backups through Station70's Bunker product. The solution ensures customers can access their assets in a multitude of disaster scenarios while maintaining the industry-leading security standards throughout the backup and recovery process.
Secure Encryption Process: Customer key shares are encrypted with a secret phrase generated locally on the user's mobile device, ensuring Station70 can never reconstruct the full vault key material and the end-to-end systems remain zero knowledge.
Cryptographic enforcement of policies: Station70 is the only disaster recovery solution which uses industry leading cryptography & hardware to enforce the recovery quorum policy ensuring zero-trust and maximum security.
Vault-Scoped Backup: Backups are created at the vault level, with both key shares (ECDSA, EdDSA) for each wallet encrypted and made available for export.
Independent Access: Customers retain the ability to decrypt and access key shares independently without requiring further involvement from either Utila or Station70.
Streamlined Business Continuity Planning
The integration enables organizations, in the event of disaster, to rapidly replicate their existing MPC wallet infrastructure from other vendors into Utila through Station70's SWAT (Secure Wallet Account Transfer) workflow. This process typically takes under 5 minutes, providing immediate operational continuity capabilities in the event of primary provider downtime or disruption.
Rapid Environment Mirroring: Organizations can replicate their existing wallet environments within Utila in 5 minutes.
Secure Key Material Transfer: Recovery packages are securely delivered from Station70 to Utila, where Utila key shares are encrypted and stored at rest, while mobile key shares are sent to users’ devices.
Seamless Wallet Reconstruction: Wallets are reconstructed by securely importing cryptographic material, following predefined derivation paths while maintaining full security.
