Executive Summary
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is now available in Utila, allowing institutions to create BCH wallets, receive deposits, and send transfers within their existing vaults. Support includes MPC signing, UTXO management, CashAddr addresses, and the transaction policies, approval flows, and screening used across their digital asset operations.
Exchanges, payment providers, and OTC desks can manage BCH alongside BTC, stablecoins, and their other assets in the Utila console and mobile app. Treasury and compliance teams gain a consistent way to oversee BCH activity, applying familiar controls to deposits, withdrawals, and settlement.
Manage BCH Alongside Your Assets
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is now available in Utila. You can create BCH wallets in any vault, receive deposits, and send transfers using the same MPC wallets, transaction policies, and approval flows you already use for BTC, stablecoins, and every other asset on the platform.
Exchanges, payment providers, and OTC desks that list BCH can now bring it into the same treasury setup and governance as the rest of their digital asset operations. Your team can manage BCH activity within familiar workflows, with balances, transaction history, and transfer controls available in the same place.
What Bitcoin Cash Support Includes
BCH is available in the Utila console and mobile app, covering the core workflows institutions need to hold, receive, and transfer the asset.
BCH wallets. Create BCH addresses in any vault and receive deposits. Balances and transaction history appear in the console alongside your other assets, giving your team a shared view of BCH activity within its treasury operations.
Outgoing transfers. Send BCH with full UTXO handling. Every transfer is signed through our MPC flow, the same signing process used across all assets in your vaults.
BCH wallets use the same UTXO management tools we offer for Bitcoin and Litecoin. These tools help teams understand the underlying transaction outputs and manage fund availability when planning transfers. Read more in our guide to UTXO management for Bitcoin and Litecoin.
CashAddr support. BCH addresses display in CashAddr format, the native address format for Bitcoin Cash. CashAddr makes BCH addresses easy to tell apart from BTC addresses. Legacy format addresses are also accepted as destinations, so you can send to counterparties that use them.
Policies and approvals. BCH transfers are covered by your existing transaction policy rules, address book, and approval flows. AML and KYT screening also applies to BCH transactions, bringing BCH activity into the compliance workflows your team already uses.
Why Shared Infrastructure Matters
Many institutions hold BCH alongside BTC, and many trading and payment businesses list both. Running them on the same infrastructure keeps operations simpler and governance consistent. Each asset has its own network requirements, while the people managing it need a consistent way to initiate, approve, and review transactions.
One place for BCH and BTC. Manage both from the same vaults and the same console. Your team can oversee both assets within its existing wallet infrastructure.
The same governance across assets. Your compliance and treasury teams apply the controls they already rely on to BCH: who can initiate a transfer, who needs to approve it, which addresses funds can go to, and how transactions are screened. This keeps responsibility and oversight consistent as you manage a broader range of assets.
Operational consistency. Your team can see BCH balances, deposits, and transfers alongside the rest of your treasury, using the workflows they already know. An operator preparing a BCH settlement can follow the same approval process used for other assets, while reviewers assess the transaction within their existing workflow.
Who Benefits From BCH Support
BCH support serves teams that handle customer deposits and withdrawals, settle trades, or manage the asset as part of their treasury.
Exchanges that list BCH can run deposits and withdrawals under the same policies and approval structure as every other listed asset.
Payment providers that accept or settle in BCH can hold and move it from the same vaults used for their other payment flows.
OTC desks can settle BCH trades from the same vaults and under the same approval rules they use for BTC and stablecoins. Teams handling settlements across several assets can keep those transfers within a consistent operational process.
Treasury and compliance teams get BCH activity in the same place as the rest of their assets, with the same policy rules, address book, and screening applied. This gives both teams a common transaction history to reference when reviewing activity.
Getting Started With BCH
Bitcoin Cash support is generally available now. To start using it, enable BCH in a vault and create a BCH address.
Review the transaction policies, approval requirements, and address book entries relevant to your BCH workflows before initiating transfers.
